WHAT DOES THE ERROR “THE DATA AREA PASSED TO A SYSTEM CALL IS TOO SMALL” MEAN?

I am trying to add a networked printer (HP photosmart d7360) to my WinXP laptop. The printer is connected to my desktop, running WinME. Each time I try to add the printer, I get the following error message: “the data area passed to a system call is too small.” Then, the window freezes up and will not respond. Anyone have any suggestions?
WHAT IS A “WDM CALL RETURNED ERROR 4200” MESSAGE AND WHAT CAN I DO?

I think my personal is broken. Each time I log in, I get this message: “WDM call returned error 4200.” It then goes to another screen and the “Start Windows normally” selection is highlighted. When I close the error message, it pops up about ten seconds later. This is really annoying and I would like to make it go away. How do I do that?
WHEN I INSTALLED CALL OF DUTY 2 ON MY PC, I GET THIS ERROR WHEN I START THE GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME?

My error is this;
“DirectX came across an unrecoverable error”
and I clicked on the error, and it gave me possible reaons why it doesn’t work, and I tried all of those and it still does the same thing. I have also tried to re-install DirectX, and the same thing appeared. I have reinstalled the game also, and same problem. If anyone is willing to help me, I am running this game on my Windows Vista.
