WHAT IS THE REASON OF RUNTIME ERROR (ABNORMAL PROGRAM TERMINATION) AND HOW DO YOU RESOLVE IT?
I installed Arcsoft photoimpression, and then when I am trying to lauch it, this message appears “runtime error. Abnormal program termination”
I’m sure the software Arcsoft photoimpression has no problem because I have used it already before. I reformatted my pc so I reinstalled it.
So what is the reason of this error? And how to solve it?
Thank you.
@Jacob – Thanks, but the registry cleaner you gave is not free.
I need a free one. Thank you.

Runtime is a term us tech nerds use to describe the execution of a program running on your computer from the time it loads to the time it stops running.
I think Windows Registry Cleaner can help you,you can fix windows registry with it.I resolve this problem by a free registry cleaner. You can have a try.

Most computer errors are born in a part of your system which hardly anyone knows or understands – the registry. This is the central database of Windows, which actually stores some of your computer’s most important files and settings. Everything from your latest emails to your desktop wallpaper are kept in this database, making it one of the most used parts of the Windows system.Because it’s used so much, the registry database is actually prone to becoming corrupt and damaged, which makes Windows struggle to read the files inside it. Unfortunately, 100’s of registry files are corrupted every week and Windows has no way to protect against it – it’s this problem which causes most of your computer’s errors. The problem is that when these files are corrupted, your PC actually takes longer to read them and often can’t read them at all. This causes errors on your PC which seem to appear randomly. You can use a Registry cleaner. http://make-computer-run-smoothly.com Registry cleaners are tools which have been created to scan through the registry. They work by scanning each file and then checking to see if it’s corrupt or causing problems. If they find that it is broken, the registry cleaner will replace or fix the file for you to make your computer speed up and become free of errors. You should have a try! Good Luck!

It may or may not be caused by a System Registry setting. (And the Registry definitely does not store everything important, especially not emails.)
The problem could be something as simple as a missing .DLL file, or one that is not compatible with your version of Arcsoft.
Your better off contacting the vendor and seeing what they have in the way of similar errors listed in their own knowledge base. I am sure you are not the first person they have seen get this message, and they will have some suggestions to get you going again.
