You can Google the exact stop code message your are getting for a way of trouble shooting your computer.
ME is a non-supported operating system by Microsoft – it may be time to update your computer.

That’s a bit vague.

For an all-out repair you need to put in the restore cd (should have got in with your computer) or the XP cd. This should then repair the system.
